Le Bernardin chef and Top Chef judge Eric Ripert stopped by Letterman last night to serve a tray of mussels, oysters, and caviar to Dave and Regis Philbin. The Reege, you see, is terrified of shellfish, so Letterman went ahead and shoved them in his sweet, septuagenarian face. Ripert quietly observed their antics with a big, goofy grin. [Eater National]
