Gear Up for a Beer-Soaked First Weekend of Summer

NORTHEAST: The North American Organic Brewers Festival claims to be the most eco-friendly beer fest in the nation — but with more than 50 organic beers on tap from breweries across the country, you'll be too drunk to notice. The fest runs from Friday through Sunday, and portions of proceeds benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Oregon Food Bank.

PEARL DISTRICT: Deschutes Brewery celebrates its 22nd anniversary on Sunday (June 27) with smoked sandwiches, $4 pints, and the unveiling of the new Reserve Series Black Butte XXII, a brew with dark chocolate and orange peel aged in bourbon barrels. Cheerz!
