When plywood announcing an outpost of the Blue Olive Mediterranean Restaurant popped up on the "cursed corner" of NW 21st that once housed the legendary Zefiro, Eater and onlookers assumed — anchored by an Oregonian article — that the spot was to be the restaurant's attempt at a second location. But according to a new announcement, Blue Olive has packed up its original digs on NE Fremont and will be moving to Northwest permanently. And to further complicate the switcheroo, a tipster writes in to report another Olive awning has sprouted on NE Alberta, just a couple blocks down from Pine State Biscuits' upcoming Alberta locale. Blue Olive NW is scheduled to open in early July; no word yet on a possible Alberta date.
