If all those heart-wrenching images of oil-covered pelicans and sea turtles have been getting to you lately, there is something you can do that doesn't require hopping on a flight to the Gulf. It involves eating (and drinking!), obvs. From tomorrow (June 10) through Saturday (June 12), several local restaurants will be participating in the national Dine Out for the Gulf Coast effort, with proceeds benefiting the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund.
Lincoln, Park Kitchen, Olympic Provisions, Del Inti, and 3 Doors Down Cafe have all pledged a portion of proceeds to the fund (at Del Inti, 100% of sales of piso sours will be donated, at Park Kitchen, a Gulf-inspired cocktail seals the deal). For more information, contact the participating restaurants directly.
