The Meadow Fielding New Store — in NYC's West Village

Between Stumptown's growing east coast expansion and the upcoming Portland Frankies outpost, PDX and NYC have been trading foodie outposts: And we're about to throw some salt into the mix. According to the Portland Pickle, N. Mississippi's gourmet food shop the Meadow (best known for its carefully curated salt bar) will be opening its second location in NYC's West Village this September. A quick trip to Meadow owner Mark Bitterman's Twitter feed reveals that he's spent the past three weeks in New York, hanging out with the brothers behind Brooklyn's Mast Brothers Chocolate, among other NYC purveyors.
