Beaker & Flask Looking into (Extremely Local) Expansion?

Could Kevin Ludwig be going back to his bar roots? A tipster reports that the mastermind behind WWeek's 2009 Restaurant of the Year Beaker & Flask has signed a lease to rent out the rest of the restaurant's current building on SE Sandy — and word is that the new, adjoining space would be build out into a bar and possibly an event-hosting space. According to our tipster, the property owners were having difficulty leasing out the rest of the building and made Ludwig (and chef Ben Bettinger) they couldn't refuse. Breaking...
