The long-vacant NW 23rd building that once housed the Uptown Silver Dollar sports bar (it's been empty since before Eater PDX was born) finally, it seems, has a new tenant — a sushi restaurant. An Eater operative reports that construction has already begun, and a permit placed on the front window reads: "TENANT IMPROVEMENT, INTERIOR ONLY - NEW SUSHI RESTAURANT IN EXISTING RESTAURANT SPACE. No sushi track." A poke around public records reveals that the property is being leased to the "Yu & Mi Corporation," which formerly ran Bush Garden Tualatin, a Japanese spot that went out of business earlier this year. More info as it becomes available.
