After a solid month of soft openings (including a series of World Cup viewing parties), the Globe Bar & Cafe celebrated its official grand opening this weekend in the SE Belmont space that once housed Jace Gace, a waffle cafe and art gallery, and more recently, Tiger's Cafe. In addition to occasional live music, an outdoor patio, and functioning pizza oven, the spot — owned by restaurateur newbies Kevin Ellis, Paul Di Napoli, and Marc Brazeau — offers up rotating taps of local brews and a sandwich-heavy menu. Hours are 3pm to midnight daily.
