Aside from being a certain teenage mom's namesake, Alaska's Bristol Bay is home to 1.1 million acres of fish habitat, including the world's largest sockeye salmon fishery. With a proposed gold and copper mine threatening to pollute the waters, Trout Unlimited's Save Bristol Bay initiative aims to call attention to the threats facing coldwater fisheries. During SBB dining week, more than 15 Portland restaurants — including Metrovino, Higgins, Serratto, and Lincoln — will feature wild Bristol Bay salmon on their menus now until July 10 to raise delicious, delicious awareness. Dig in.
