Pinot Commits, Tarboush Debuts, Irving Street Brunches

To kick off the beauty known as the four-day work week, a quick trip 'round the 4th of July weekend news:

DOWNTOWN: Chef/owner Bill King has set an opening date for downtown's sprawling Pinot American Brasserie, which sits pretty in the tony LEED-certified Indigo Building downtown — guests can start sipping from the 36-bottle, Oregon-only Pinot Noir wine list beginning August 2.

SOUTHEAST: Tarboush Lebanese Bar & Bistro opened this past weekend in the Victorian house that formerly killed welcomed Belly Timber. Two words: Outdoor patio.

PEARL DISTRICT: Irving Street Kitchen's Sarah Schafer is keeping busy, first with weekday lunch service, then brunch: The Pearl spot announced that it will be serving everyone's favorite weekend hangover meal beginning August 7.
