Indulgent weekend plan #1: The 2010 Portland Baconfest celebrates all things pork belly this Saturday, from noon to 8pm. The street party (centered on the 1800 block of E. Burnside street) will feature live bands, bacon-themed contests (in eating, dancing, and throwing), and vendors including East Burn, Parker's Waffles, Monster Meatballs, MacTarnahan's, and (irony alert!) fitness outfitter Get Fit Portland. A $5 entrance fee gets you through the door, with a suggested two-can donation to benefit the Oregon Food Bank.
