In today's EaterWire, local chefs get around:
LAKE OSWEGO: Some info about Scratch chef Patrick Lee Warner's appearance on Iron Chef America (which, presumably, will not take place this season): According to his Twitter account, the restaurant will be closed August 29th through September 2nd "for taping of Iron Chef." Scratch re-opens September 3rd.
SOUTHEAST: Castagna's Matt Lightner may be serving a multi-course dinner at the freakin' James Beard House next week, but he still made time for a quick trip to Denmark for Copenhagen Cooking 2010 — as one of two chefs repping the USA. All six participating chefs will interpret Nordic cuisine during the August 29 event; Lightner's dish features "carrots from lammefjorden in Denmark, an area made up of ancient seabeds."
