Multnomah County health inspectors shut down an illegal lemonade stand at NE 26th and Alberta last week, and just in the nick of time: the owner was violating several health codes and operating without a license. (The stand owner, btw, was seven-year-old Julie Murphy, who got the idea from a children's cartoon. Classy!) In true Portland style, community organizers are planning a protest, in the form of a "Lemonade Revolt," at the end of the month. Damn the man! [OregonLive via Gawker]
