With word breaking earlier this week about Ned Ludd co-founder Ben Meyer's new mystery venture (dubbed Grain and Gristle), fellow founding Luddite Jason French confirms to Eater that Meyer's new spot signals an amicable end to the duo's culinary partnership. "We are simultaneously psyched and sad about things, but we both feel confident it is the best for us both," French says.
French will keep the fires burning in Ludd's oven as the sole chef and owner, and in a true sign of amicable BFF-ness, Meyer will continue to represent the restaurant at a slew of events, including a trip to Italy in October for Local Terra Madre.
