Deep in Old Town, P:ear hosted its first ever "Brunch Responsibly" four-course brunch Sunday morning. Created by Jason French (Ned Ludd) and Adam Sappington (Country Cat) the morning nosh celebrated the grand opening of the p:ear barista school. The PBS will be overseen by Caffe Vita Roasting Co., which opened up a coffee cart at p:ear today that will be entirely operated by members of the cool school.
And at the brunch, coffee cutie Chad Freilino announced Caffe Vita will soon open its first Portland coffee-roasting-house on Northeast Alberta Street in the former Concordia Coffeehouse (and not to be confused with the nearby Vita Cafe) in the next month. Stay tuned. More photos from P:ear's "Brunch Responsibly" at Byronbeck.com
