Downtown coffee cart Spella Caffe is shuttering later this fall to move full-time into a brick-and-mortar space — partially due to a recent decline in sales. According to scooparina extraordinaire Karen Brooks, cafe owner Andrea Spella cites bad weather as a reason for declining profits; so he'll transition permanently from the popular SW 10th and Alder cart pod into a rented space five blocks down the street, which has been in operation since last winter. And in a porchetta-lined silver lining, the People's Pig is set to move into Spella's space when they move out on October 6.
