Between Sunday night and Monday morning, thieves broke into SE Division's (secure) A La Carts pod and made off with a 16-foot-long, $30,000 custom food truck: Azul Tequila Mexican Taqueria was taken from the lot after thieves broke a chain and padlock — then rearranged parts of the pod in order to drive in, hook up the cart, and drive out.
And the latest update this morning: According to KOIN, the truck was found this morning on NW 23rd Avenue and is back in the possession of its owner, Alfredo Franco, who's assessed the damages at around $6,000. Those with more information about the theft should contact Portland Police.
