Akkapong "Earl" Ninsom, co-owner of N. Mississippi's popular Mee Sen Thai Eatery, is branching out: Eater has learned that Ninsom's second spot, a Thai-influenced restaurant/bar named PaaDee, will soon open somewhere on E. Burnside.
"My friends who own Kinara by PGE park and I are teaming up for this new project," Ninsom says. "Our concept will be different from Mee Sen, Pok Pok or other places. It will be a small menu of food based on our childhood memories, simple, delicious, honest and straight forward. We want to offer the type of bar that has a more traditional Thai feeling there as well."
Ninsom and partners are still working out the final lease details; opening location and dates TBA.
