The McMenamins empire just keeps on growing: The brewery giant confirms that its long-stewing downtown hotel project is moving forward, and the property/music venue, unsurprisingly, will feature a new restaurant. The Crystal Hotel will take over the four-story building that once housed Silverado (it's just down the street from other McMenamins properties Ringler's Annex and the Crystal Ballroom). Once completed, the Crystal Hotel will house 50 hotel rooms, a 60-seat small music venue, and the first-floor "upscale restaurant" Zeus Cafe.
According to the website, the restaurant will be "a Northwest-style café offering breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu that celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients abundantly available throughout the Pacific Northwest." Projected opening date for the whole shebang is May 3.
