Guest 'Tenders at Central; Hop & Vine Hosts Burns Night

Because it's five o'clock somewhere, two boozy events for your to-do list:

OLD TOWN: Celebrated bartendress Lydia Reissmueller at throwback speakeasy-style Central will have a couple helpers this Sunday, with Ryan Magarian (of Aviation Gin) and Duggan MacDonald (of Encanto Pisco) guest-bartending from 9pm to midnight. Though the event's open to the in-the-know public, discounts and drink specials are available for industry folk — we'd tell you what they are, but, you know, secret and all.

NORTHEAST: Bar-slash-bottleshop Hop & Vine is raising a glass to the Scottish Maya Angelou, Robert Burns, with a celebratory "Burns Night" (featuring a prix fixe dinner, entertainment, and drink specials) on Tuesday, January 25. The Scot-influenced, four-course menu includes traditional fare like cockaleakie soup, neeps and tatties, and haggis, with two optional whiskey flights for additional tippling.
