Oui Presse opened for business over the holidays. A Hawthorne District magazine store and espresso bar with a retail area dedicated to a hand-picked collection of everyday objects, the French-feeling coffee shop/news-stand is the vision of Shawna McKeown. A graphic designer and Willamette Week's former associate publisher, McKeown worked on countless restaurant guides for that publication (she left the alt-weekly in June '10), but now focuses her efforts on offering Stumptown coffee, her own as well as her boyfriend's baked goods (Ken's Artisan Bakery is her supplier) and hard-to-get shelter mags like Anthology.
