E. Burnside's long-stewing late-night pizza joint Sizzle Pie made its debut at midnight on New Year's Eve, boasting a menu featuring more than 35 pizza varieties (including seven vegan pies that feature caramelized onion spreads, basil cashew spreads, and soy curls in lieu of cheesy goodness). The spot — open until 4am on weekends on a stretch of bar-heavy Burnside — will cater to the drunky crowd with double-decker pizzas (titled Girth Crisis and Stoner Witch), as well as pizza by the slice, in combos like basil, goat cheese, and cracked egg in addition to the usual pep-and-cheese.
Psst: A special Groupon-like opening discount, available 'til the end of the week, nets you $30 worth of food for $15, good for lunch through late-night.
