In today's lunchtime EaterWire, mark those calendars with the year's first flurry of foodie events. Consider these your friendly reminders:
OLD TOWN: Scott Dolish's new weekly "Pork & Pinot" night at Park Kitchen debuts this Sunday (January 9), featuring a pork spaetzle with chestnuts and kumquats, salad, and a pour of Pappas Pinot Noir, all for $30.
N. WILLIAMS: To those who rock Trivial Pursuit family-nights (you know who you are), Pix Patisserie's next installment of Gastronomical Trivia night throws down on Tuesday, January 25, with blind taste-tests to challenge the palate. Teams of one to four players are eligible to play for $5 a person (which includes tastings); in addition to bragging rights, winners of each round win Pix gift certificates for post-game noshing.
PEARL DISTRICT: Irving Street Kitchen's second "Booze & Brunch" event pours this Sunday, with ISK house bartender Brandon Wise and Beaker & Flask's Dave Shenaut shaking up the theme of "Hangover Cures" while guests chow down to Sarah Schafer's Southern-influenced brunch menu.
DOWNTOWN: The boys behind the roving ramen fest Boke Bowl, whose last dinner at Cruz Room had a solid Screen Door-like line out the door, has announced their next dinner date and location: Monday, January 31 at the Bijou Cafe.
