PEARL DISTRICT: While every other restaurant in Portland adds brunch to its slate of meal offerings, Bluehour will do the opposite, announcing today that this Sunday marks its final brunch service for the time being. According to a post on Facebook: "The change will allow us to focus more on lunch and dinner service. Stay tuned for a coming announcement for Sunday Suppers." [EaterWire]
NW INDUSTRIAL: Food Carts Portland reports that the Q-19 cart pod (adjacent to the Quimby's on 19th bar, which opened in July) has finalized its roster of carts, adding the Southern-inspired Savvy J's (po'boys), beef sandwich-slinging Briskets, the self-explanatory Crust and Common Pie Shop, and Polish Kitchen, a new venture by EuroDish owners Lydia and Ted Patkowski. Total number of carts at the moment: eight. [FCP]
SE HAWTHORNE: A tipster reports (and a phone message confirms) that Johnny B's, the neighborhood diner/breakfast stop at the corner of SE Hawthorne and 12th Ave., has closed after 11 years in business. [EaterWire]
NORTHWEST 23RD: The East Coast-style sandwich and pizza shop Tribute's Pizza, which opened in the Rose's building on NW 23rd and Kearney in 2000, will permanently close after service today. The restaurant's shutter was an imminent result of Bamboo Sushi occupying the space to build its NW location. According to a Facebook post, Tribute's is offering its entire menu at half-off for the rest of today, while supplies last. [EaterWire]
