Southeast's Zenger Farm — the non-profit urban farm that works to make sustainable food accessible to low-income families — will throw its fourth-annual Farm to Table Dinner and Auction at the University of Portland next Friday, October 21. The multi-course meal, cooked up by UP's Bon Appetit, features four courses (with options like a fall vegetable cassoulet and hazelnut-and-roasted-pear chicken) along with pours of local beer and wine, and for the competitive types, auctions feature foodie prize packages like the opportunity to hang out with Jason French at Ned Ludd, a hands-on mixology class at House Spirits Distillery, or a Ruby Jewel-hosted ice cream party. All proceeds from the $100 dinner and auctions benefit Zenger Farm's programs; reservations are available through October 17 and available here. [EaterWire]
