Iron Bartender Crowned; Gourdet's Visual Life; Lucy's Original Closes for Season

DOWNTOWN: Last night's boozy charity event Iron Bartender marked the fourth year that some of the city's best shakers helped raise money for the Children's Relief Fund, and when the dust had settled, Clyde Common bartender Jordan Felix emerged as the winner. According to Eater Byron Beck, one of the event's judges, "frankly, I don't remember as much as I should about winner... Felix's cocktail," which given the alcohol content of the evening, sounds about right. Congrats all around. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN: Departure head chef Greg Gourdet is enjoying a raised profile of late, first courtesy his appearance on Extreme Chef, and now, through a decidedly classier venue: Gourdet appears as one of the creative personalities on Intel's "Visual Life" web series, which documents a day in the life of folks like clothing designers, artists, etc. The five-minute mini-movie's available for viewing here. N. MISSISSIPPI: Wheeled burger purveyor Lucy's Original, which spent most of the summer parked on N. Mississippi, has announced a temporary closure for the season. Co-owners Ali Jepson and Evan Dohrmann, also the folks behind St. Johns' Little Red Bike Cafe, have not announced future plans. [Twitter]
