SOUTHWEST/PSU: Eater's a little late to the game on this one, but Laughing Planet Cafe's newest (and seventh Portland) location, in the Cyan building near Portland State University, opened for business earlier this month. Through November 20, PSU students who show their ID will get 20% off the check.
W. BURNSIDE: Strip club-turned-seafood restaurant Poseidon Seafood Bar & Grill (insert one of many possible jokes here) debuted over the weekend, with new windows looking out onto Burnside that thankfully break from the Cabaret strip club vibe. Menu's available here, and a weekend-only Champagne brunch buffet promises all-you-can-eat food and bubbly for $33. Wednesday has also been crowned Family Night, with kids getting a free entree with the purchase of two adult plates. Again, the jokes write themselves.
WOODSTOCK: A tipster reports that the reincarnated Lutz Tavern soft-opened last week, with a grand opening tentatively scheduled for mid-November. The "original" Lutz Tavern closed in fall 2010 after an astounding 63 years in business.
