MacLarty Lands on Alberta; Saraveza's Back Room Bash

NE ALBERTA: The Oregonian's Michael Russell has the scoop about Lovely Hula Hands alum Troy MacLarty's upcoming casual Indian spot: Currently dubbed Bollywood Theater (at least, that's the working title on its OLCC application), the restaurant is slated to occupy NE Alberta's former Acme Glass building, which also currently houses Salt & Straw's scoop shop. According to Russell, MacLarty will soon embark on a weeks-long R&D excursion to India, with plans to return post-Thanksgiving. [OregonLive]

N. KILLINGSWORTH: Packers-loyal beer bar Saraveza is celebrating the official debut of its backyard rentable hall (affectionally dubbed the "Bad Habit Room") with a special dinner scheduled for this Saturday, October 29. The back room bash celebrates Stone Brewing's 15th anniversary with a four-course $20 meal deal (including beer pairings) that includes courses like house-smoked ribs (served with Stone's 11th anniversary Black IPA) and oysters on the half-shell (paired with the "Emperial" IPA). Tickets to the pairing dinner available here. [EaterWire]
