Off the Griddle's Brick-and-Mortar; Marathon Bubbles

E. BURNSIDE: Vegetarian food cart Off the Griddle has announced plans to open a brick-and-mortar cafe in the former Cafe Monet space at E. Burnside and 54th. Griddle co-owners Ashley Arthur and Dan Harding hint that the restaurant will be a new concept (solar power's probably difficult to hook up in a brick-and-mortar), but the menu will remain close to home, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. More information as it becomes available. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN: Brasserie Montmartre's breaking out the champagne to celebrate the accomplishments of Portland marathon participants: Those who stop in for a post-run brunch after Sunday's marathon will get a free glass of bubbly (just show your servers your race number).

SEATTLE: FYI for our friends up I-5, Eater Seattle is looking for a new editor. Eater Portland would appreciate candidates comfortable with flaming a healthy PDX-SEA rivalry. Bring it on.
