And now, welcome to this week's event-planning EaterWire:
NORTHWEST/ALPHABET DISTRICT: Serratto chef Tony Meyers teams with Belle Pente Winery for a five-course winemaker's dinner on Wednesday, November 16. The $60 reservation nets guests plates like seared sea scallop with caviar, and quail stuffed with chanterelles, apple, and sausage; all paired with wines like Belle Pente's 2009 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir. Reservations available by calling the restaurant.
NORTHEAST: Naomi Pomeroy has set the date for her next all-vegetarian wine dinner at Beast: The $100, seven-course dinner (including wine pairings) is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, with only one seating at 7pm. In lieu of Pomeroy's infamous foie gras bon bon, expect dishes like delicata-and-leek fritters and a celery root and sheep's cheese risotto. Reservations available here.
LOWER BURNSIDE: In honor of tomorrow's once-in-a-lifetime date (11/11/11), E. Burnside wine bar Noble Rot will throw a day-long party, serving lunch for one day only and featuring several specials for $11.11. Reservations recommended but not required.
NORTHEAST: Next Monday, November 14, Spirit of '77 plays host to the first-ever Poached Job Fair, an industry meet-and-greet thrown by the folks behind PoachedJobs.com. From 6-8pm, representatives from spots like Olympic Provisions, Biwa, Broder, and Laughing Planet will be on-hand to give industry newcomers tips about everything from resume building to applying for OLCC food handler permits.
