Cochon 555 Returns to Portland During 2012 Tour

New, 1 comment

Cochon 555, a cooking competition celebrating all things wine and pork, has announced its multi-city 2012 tour dates — and Portland is back on the list. Last year's Cochon tour skipped PDX, kinda probably due to the now-infamous 2010 fight that ended in Cochon co-founder Brady Lowe and Thistle chef Eric Bechard's respective arrests outside Old Town strip club Magic Garden. (As the story goes, Bechard was angry that the event used non-local pigs; since then, his McMinnville restaurant has been named the Oregonian's Restaurant of the Year.)

Portland's 2012 Cochon event is scheduled for March 11. The full list of participating chefs have been named yet, though Naomi Pomeroy's been tapped to compete. Head over to Eater National for the full schedule.
