Introducing Oswaldo Bibiano's Mextiza, Now Open

New, 1 comment

[Avila, 11/29/11]

And now, a look inside NoPo's newly opened Mextiza, the long-awaited second project by Autentica chef/owner Oswaldo Bibiano, which made its debut yesterday in a building that's also recently welcomed the Old Gold bar. In addition to 60 brands of tequila on offer, Bibiano's "pieces of Mexico" menu features dishes like a Northern Mexican slow-roasted cabrito (goat), huarchitos estilos (a fried corn masa with topping choices like carne asada, nopilitos, or chicken tinga), and fried tongue sandwiches. Mexita serves lunch and dinner (daily lunch plates will set you back $8.50); hours are 11am-late, seven days a week.
