Holiday Ale Fest; Lonesome's Brick & Mortar; O&S Open

DOWNTOWN: Winter beer festival season kicks off this week with the Holiday Ale Fest, which officially opened this afternoon in Pioneer Courthouse Square. The fete runs through Sunday, and in addition to the usual beerfest shenanigans (tastes of more than 40 "standard release" beers and a handful of "limited release" brews like Cascade Brewing's Sang Noir and Hair of the Dog's JIM), a Sunday beer brunch a "European-style" brunch menu — paired with more beer. More information at the official website. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN/OLD TOWN: Eater's late to the game on this one, but apparently Lonesome's Pizza — the quirky late-night delivery pizza spot — will open a brick-and-mortar storefront in the Grove Hotel. Earlier this month, the Oregonian reported that co-owners Noah Antieau and Nic Reddy "just got the keys to a space inside the renovated Grove Hotel downtown and could open the new space by April." PEARL DISTRICT: FYI: Buzzy pizza spot Oven & Shaker officially opens its doors to the public tonight. Hours moving forward: 4pm to midnight , seven days a week. [EaterWire]
