Off the Griddle's A.N.D. Cafe Opens Friday

New, 2 comments

Details have emerged about the brick-and-mortar cafe by the folks behind SE Division's vegetarian/vegan burger cart Off the Griddle. The A.N.D. Cafe, a play on the names of owners Ashley Arthur and Dan Harding, is scheduled to open this Friday in E. Burnside's former Cafe Monet space, with an all-vegetarian and vegan breakfast and lunch menu.

Expect breakfast and brunch options like gluten-free blue corn waffles topped with apple, banana, walnuts, and smoked molasses syrup; savory "Thai" waffles; hashbrown "nests" filled with organic baked eggs or pesto tofu; and gluten-free vegan biscuits and gravy. "We have the most amazing cast iron vintage waffle irons that make waffles that I haven't seen since my childhood," Arthur says. "It's all very exciting." A.N.D. officially opens at 8am Friday; hours moving forward are 8am to 4pm, six days a week (closed Tuesday).
