50 Plates, the "upscale American comfort food bistro" owned by the JoPa Hospitality Group, has closed. According to a post on its official website (and repeated on the restaurant's voicemail):

"The owners of 50 Plates have decided to close the doors. They extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciate your support over the years. But mostly, they wish to thank the staff at 50 Plates, as they are what made this restaurant truly special and unique."

50 Plates, a project by JoPa Hospitality's Joe and Ginger Rapport, opened in 2008 to largely decent reviews. JoPa, which owns the quickly growing Joe's Burgers chain, shuttered its flagship restaurant, the JoPa Northwest Grill, earlier this summer. No additional information about 50 Plates' closure is available at this time, though stay tuned — a prime piece of Pearl real estate is now on the market, so this should get interesting.
