The awesomely-named Tilman Fertitta is on a buying spree. Landry's Restaurants Inc., which recently acquired the Portland-based McCormick and Schmick's seafood chain, just announced it would acquire the Morton's Restaurant Group for $117 million and take the company private. Fertitta, Landry's CEO, plans to "modernize" the Morton's steakhouses and add new items to the traditional menu. [Crain's via Eater Chicago]
