In true holiday spirit, looks like Seattle has no hard feelings about getting swept at the 2011 Beards: Pike Place Market's iconic spot Matt’s In the Market has announced that Portland's Gabriel Rucker (Le Pigeon), Andy Ricker (Pok Pok), and Naomi Pomeroy (Beast) are among the guest chefs for a 2012 "Planes, Trains & Traveling Chefs" series, a set of collaborative dinners with Matt's chef Chester Gerl. According to a press release, the experience also includes face time with the chefs in question: "Guests will also have the option of joining the guest chef in shopping for ingredients in the Pike Place Market."
Rucker will kick off the series next year — but hold off on making reservations just yet. The "Planes, Trains & Traveling Chefs" events start in April 2012.
