Mushroom Man

There probably a euphemism in here somewhere: Clyde Common chef Chris DiMinno recently sat down down with CNN to name "My Five Most Important Mushrooms," and along with his picks (truffles, chicken-of-the-woods, morels, cepes, and chanterelles) comes a friendly reminder of one of Portland's perks. "Portlanders are so lucky that chanterelles grow like crazy outside the city. When I lived and cooked in New York, I can remember seeing them in the market selling for $32 per half pound."
