Fire-Shuttered Aviary (Finally!) Re-Opening Tonight

After a Fourth of July fire rendered its NE Alberta building un-useable, chef/owners Jasper Shen, Kat Whitehead, and Sarah Pliner will re-open their eclectic Asian-French restaurant Aviary tonight, after a five-month-long shutter. The re-opening efforts had been plagued by a series of delays, counterbalanced by several pop-up events and fundraising dinners around town on behalf of the trio.

As previously reported, a new bar space is still a few weeks away from opening, though new menu items (like a take on four-cup chicken) will make their debut tonight. Aviary's hours: 6-10pm, Monday to Wednesday; 5-11pm, Thursday to Saturday.
