Stumptown's Duane Sorenson completes his takeover of one stretch of SE Division with the recent opening of the Woodsman Market, a specialty foods market adjacent to his Woodsman Tavern restaurant. Unsurprisingly, ringers from the Tavern help curate the shop's selection, which features everything from milk (from organic dairy Straus) to local jam and honey to pickles — chef Jason Barwikowski fills the meat case with picks from local spots (Chop), while tavern manager Carly Laws manages the wine selection. Local cheese guru Steve Jones (from Cheese Bar) stocks a rotating selection of Oregon and Washington cheese; fresh eggs arrive from Wag; bread and baguettes come from SE's Little T American Baker.
The Woodsman Market is now open seven days a week, from 9am-7pm.
