Soup for the Soul Event to Include Local Chefs... and Shampine?

New, 1 comment

Transition Projects, an agency that helps people move from homelessness to housing, will kick off its first ever culinary fundraiser — Soup for the Soul — on February 24, from 6pm to 8:30pm at Urban Studio to benefit the brand new Bud Clark Commons. Participating chefs who will be whipping up savory pots of soup include Aaron Barnett (St. Jack), Chris Hunter (Circa 33, North 45, and Paddy’s), Kevin Kennedy (Pearl Catering), Andy Ricker (Ping, Pok Pok, and Whiskey Soda Lounge), Michael Schultz (The Stafford) and Scott Shampine of Davis Street Tavern....wait a sec... isn't Shampine out at Davis Street?

As of yesterday, Scott Shampine — who recently left his post at Davis Street — is still on the schedule for the event, and is said to be crafting a pot of blue corn possole with smoked turkey "osso bucco," radishes, cilantro and pickled queso fresco. Click here for tickets.
