Grant Butler at the O reports this morning that the NW 23rd branch of Typhoon!, the Thai chain owned by Bo and Steve Kline, has forcibly closed due to a landlord lien. According to a sign posted at the door, owner Panache Properties is owed more than $27,000 in unpaid rent and taxes, and though the other restaurant locations (including spots downtown, in Beaverton and Gresham) remain open, the Klines are also facing liens filed by the IRS (to the tune of $1.5 million) and a civil rights complaint filed by the state department of labor. No word yet on what will take the coveted retail space (if you're interested, looks like rent will set you back more than $10,000 per month).
UPDATE: According to the O, the Klines have settled the dispute, and the restaurant has re-opened as of Monday evening's dinner service.
