Happy March, y'all: To celebrate the debauch of Mardi Gras next week (in a way that doesn't involve boarding a party bus or navigating through drunk college crowds, obvs), Irving Street Kitchen chef Sarah Schafer will roast two whole pigs during a six-hour Fat Tuesday celebration at the Southern-influenced Pearl restaurant. Gluttony is encouraged: the $40 ticket nets all-you-can-eat access to the pigs, in addition to jambalaya, dirty rice, oysters, and slices of a giant King Cake; bartender Brandon Wise will shake up classics like Hurricanes and Sazeracs at the cash bar. Reservations recommended for the March 8 event.
