Starbucks has announced the imminent opening of a new store in the Pearl District's brewery blocks (on NW Couch and 11th), and fittingly, the shop will "be the company’s first store in the U.S. outside of Seattle to offer beer and wine." According to a press release, Portland's newest Starbucks (its first new store in three years) will be LEED certified, and the planned interior decor will "reflect the industrial past of the Pearl District with a warehouse feel of exposed concrete, raw steel and glass contrasted by the warmth of rich woods and upholstery." Projected opening date for the boozy 'Bucks: mid-June. [EaterWire]
