The James Beard Foundation just announced the hosts (and theme!) of the 2011 James Beard Foundation Awards, scheduled for May 9 at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. Tom Colicchio, Ming Tsai, and San Francisco's Traci Des Jardins will share hosting duties, and this year's theme celebrates "The Ultimate Melting Pot," what the press release calls "a tribute to the nation's wonderfully diverse food culture, a mosaic of influences from many lands."
