In today's lunchtime EaterWire, mark those calenders with these early April events:
PEARL DISTRICT: Breakfast and lunch hotspot Lovejoy Bakers does dinner — kind of. As part of a recurring dinner series, the bakery will serve up a four-course dinner on April 7 inspired by spring veggies and featuring "homemade foie gras sausage." Two seatings are available, at 5:30 and 8pm, for $35 per person. Reservations required.
SOUTHEAST DIVISION: Cheryl Wakerhauser's recurring Dim Sum Yum Yum series at Pix Patisserie returns on April 4, with bite-sized versions of more than 20 of her popular desserts, all available for between $1-3 (mini pours of alcoholic beverages, at one or two ounces, can also be paired with each bite). The Dim Sum event throws down at Pix's SE Division location only, from 8-11pm.
DOWNTOWN: Pastrami den Kenny and Zuke's continues its monthly "Family Dinner" series with an Italian-themed night on April 17, inspired by Ken Gordon's childhood in Queens, NY. The four-course meal features antipasti, baked stuffed mussels and clams, and the classic spaghetti with meatballs, sausage, and marinara as the main course. Two seatings are available (at 4:30 and 7pm) for $35.50 per person.
