NORTHEAST: Chef Anthony Cafiero at Tabla just can't stop rubbing it in that he recently spent several weeks traveling around Spain: Cafiero has announced a new weekly Monday Night Tapas Dinner, to debut April 4. Dinner each week (at 6:30pm and limited to 14 people in the private dining room) will feature experimental tapas inspired by Barcelona, Madrid, and San Sebastian. The $40 reservation includes wine pours.
SOUTHEAST: Fun fact of the day: Did you know that when you Google "Kopstootje Biere," the search engine asks if you mean "Justin Beiber"? It's true. Moving on: Next Friday, April 1, newish SE bar Circa 33 toasts the classy, foreign-sounding version of the Irish car bomb — the Dutch-invented Kopstootje Biere, traditionally a shot of Bols Genever served with the beer of your choice. The event, from 5-8pm, will feature a special brew by Alex Ganum's Upright Brewing, in what they're calling "the world's first beer created to accompany a spirit."
