Bakers/Pastry Chefs Join for "Bakesale for Japan" on April 2

In a heartwarming display, the benefits for victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami keep rolling in: In addition to the big Portland Restaurant Relief effort on March 29 (we'll keep reminding you about it, no worries), on Saturday, April 2, PDX's amateur and professional bakers/pastry chefs will join forces for a local outpost of the Bakesale for Japan, part of a nationwide event. N. Williams' Ristretto Roasters and the Pearl District's Barista will play host to goodies provided by Little T American Baker, Alder Pastry & Dessert, Alma Chocolate, The Sugar Cube's Kir Jensen, Paley's Place pastry chef Kristen Murray, and recent JBA nominee Kim Boyce, among many others. The bake sale kicks off at both locations from 10am to 2pm, with proceeds benefiting Peace Winds Japan.
