[Jones, 3/26/11]
After a 10-month hiatus to make some serious renovations, the W. Burnside meaty institution Ringside Steakhouse is set to re-open to the public tonight (March 28), boasting — as we reported earlier — some major interior improvements. Though the majority of the 3,500-square-foot remodel was devoted to expanding the kitchen space, a new 40-seat dining room (dubbed the "Barrel Room") extends past the former exit, with a brick ceiling and temperature-controlled wine storage cases lining the walls. The main dining room remains aesthetically similar to the original (but with enough reupholstery and polish to add new shine), and a new underground wine cellar has been prepped to store an additional 8,000 to 10,000 bottles. The renovated Ringside re-opens to the public during dinner service tonight.
