PDX's non-profit educational farm Zenger Farms is getting a little help from its friends next week, with the second-annual Spring for Zenger fundraising initiative kicking off this Sunday, March 13. Throughout the week, several Portland restaurants — including Spints Alehouse, Ned Ludd, the Country Cat, Pine State Biscuits, Lincoln, and Tastebud — have pledged a portion of their proceeds to Zenger's new "Farm Shares" effort, which will make the farm the city’s first CSA to accept food stamps.
Each restaurant has signed up for a specific day to donate; the schedule and full list of participating restaurants (and farm stores) is available at the Zenger Farm website.
